This amazing event for youth philanthropists ages 12-21 and the adults who support them from across the Northeast, was held at Brandeis University, just west of Boston in Waltham, MA. Youth philanthropists were able to share their practices in giving and grantmaking, learn together with sessions built for youth and adults, and have fun! 200 attendess from 20 different organizations attended this event.

David Reedy is a 5th year Environmental Studies and History Major at Northeastern University. He was exposed to the subject of socially-conscious international development during a Dialogue of Civilizations with Dr. Lori Gardinier in Costa Rica. David brings a perspective to the Social Impact Lab which incorporates a wide variety of disciplines and interests. David has worked on local development work with The Trust for Public Land–helping bring environmentally sensible opportunities such as urban farming to under-served neighborhoods of Boston. He is also currently working with USAID in the Office of Transition Initiatives to provide mapping data in support of local projects to support peace in nations recovering or attempting to recover from violence.
