This amazing event for youth philanthropists ages 12-21 and the adults who support them from across the Northeast, was held at Brandeis University, just west of Boston in Waltham, MA. Youth philanthropists were able to share their practices in giving and grantmaking, learn together with sessions built for youth and adults, and have fun! 200 attendess from 20 different organizations attended this event.

Program Officer, Jennifer Ubaldino, has overseen the region-wide Youth in Philanthropy program since she joined the Foundation for MetroWest in 2005. With over 15 years of youth leadership experience, Jennifer has successfully designed and implemented the Youth in Philanthropy curriculum, trained teachers, and educated nearly 1,000 youth throughout MetroWest. She has launched and administered ten school and community-based youth programs and has created one of the largest youth philanthropy programs in the country. Jennifer has acted as an advisor to other community and family foundations. In her role at the Foundation, Jennifer also has been an integral part of expanding the Center for Philanthropy Education, a regional resource of free professional development programming for nonprofit staff and leaders. Jennifer received dual master’s degrees from Boston University in Social Work and Education and an undergraduate degree from Hamilton College. As a mother of two children, she is always looking for ways to ignite the spark in young people to help their community.
