This amazing event for youth philanthropists ages 12-21 and the adults who support them from across the Northeast, was held at Brandeis University, just west of Boston in Waltham, MA. Youth philanthropists were able to share their practices in giving and grantmaking, learn together with sessions built for youth and adults, and have fun! 200 attendess from 20 different organizations attended this event.

Dr. Susan Eaton is Director of the Sillerman Center for the Advancement of Philanthropy at Brandeis University’s Heller School. At the Sillerman Center, Susan and her colleagues host events and release publications that seek to inform, increase and enhance grantmaking to social justice causes. Susan is also Professor of the Practice at the Heller School and an Adjunct Lecturer at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is also a book author, most recently of Integration Nation: Immigrants, Refugees and America at Its Best (The New Press, 2016). Prior to her appointment at Heller in 2015, Susan was, for a decade, research director at the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute for Race and Justice at Harvard Law School. While at Harvard, Susan founded and directed the storytelling project One Nation Indivisible, which amplifies the voices of people creating racially integrated schools and other social institutions.
